According to a new LAPD report, LAPD were involved in 4,203 car chases from January 2018 - March 2023.
- 1,592 (38%) resulted in crashes.

Transparency is important & necessary in government. It's unfortunate that LAPD’s disclosure of information in response to a lawful CPRA request has led to litigation. This fiscal year, taxpayers spent at least $24M on police liabilities which don't come out of the police budget.
